FAQs

When is the Wells Comedy Festival in association with Brothers Cider?
This year's fest takes place 26-28 May 2017.

When will tickets go on sale?
Tickets for the first shows are on sale now – see what’s on. Join the mailing list to be the first to know about the next batch.

Do I buy a ticket for the whole weekend or individual shows?
Each show is ticketed separately, so you can decide exactly how many shows you want to see.

How many venues are there?
See our venues page for a map and the full addresses.

How long does a show last?
Unless otherwise stated, each show lasts an hour, and they start and end at the same time, so you can nip between venues.

Are latecomers allowed?
It depends on the show, but many will have a strict no-latecomers policy, so assume no latecomers are allowed. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to show time.

How will I receive my tickets?
We don’t post out any physical tickets, but you do need to bring your tickets with you to each show – either print-at-home or on your show. Tickets will still be available to purchase from a festival box office on the festival weekend, provided the show isn’t already sold out…

Are seats allocated?
All shows at Cedars Hall and Wells Little Theatre (unless otherwise stated) have allocated seating, and you can pick which seats you’d like when you make a booking. All shows at the White Hart Hotel and Globe Inn are unallocated.

Is there disabled access?
Shows at Cedars Hall and the Little Theatre have wheelchair spaces available. Unfortunately, the White Hart Hotel and Globe Inn venues aren’t wheelchair accessible. The White Hart Hotel has 15 steps up to the venue. The Globe Inn is 13 steep steps.

Do the shows have an age limit?
Unless otherwise stated, all shows are recommended as ages 16+ as they will contain adult material. Shows with specific age limits display that info on their listing pages.

Are there any shows suitable for children?
Yes! Sam Fletcher’s show, ‘Daftwerk’, is suitable for ages 10+. It’s not specifically a kids’ show, it’s just fun for both adults and children.

Can I buy tickets over the phone?
Yes! You can phone TicketSource on 0333 666 3366. Please note that is the number for our ticketing agent and not how to get in touch with the organisers. Click here to email us.

How do I get to Wells?
There are bus connections from Bristol Temple Meads, Bath Spa, Castle Cary and Frome train stations to Wells.
